What are SEPA direct debits and how do they work?

SEPA (Single Euro Payments Area) is a payment scheme implemented by the European Union that allows for direct debit orders between companies in € belonging to the SEPA region. Capchase supports payments in the following countries belonging to the SEPA region: Spain, Belgium, Netherlands, and Finland.

Setting a SEPA direct debit mandate only requires the account holder's name, IBAN number, and SWIFT number. Capchase establishes direct debit mandates with all payers in accordance with the SEPA scheme requirements through our processing partner, GoCardless.
